In honor of The Year of the Innovator, the Kappa Omega Social Work Honor Society and Social Work Student Organization are pleased to host a concert event by acclaimed singer-songwriter, author, and advocate: Jennifer Knapp on March 6, 7:30pm - 9:30pm in the Student Union Social Hall.
This is a family-friendly, free event for faculty, staff, students and the Buffalo community - funded by the Buffalo State College Foundation Grant Allocation Committee; sponsored by the social work, psychology and music departments and Counseling Center (for Mental Health Awareness Month); and co-sponsored by the sociology department, Women and Gender Studies, and Active Minds.
Jennifer Knapp will be available to sign CD's, her book and interact with the audience following the concert. Social service agencies representing areas addressed by Jennifer Knapp will have tables displaying information about assistance in the Buffalo area.
Refreshments can be purchased at the event - all proceeds will be donated to the Western New York Anti-Violence Campaign - LGBT Runaway/Homeless Shelter development project.
We hope to see you at this community-wide event.
