These buildings are corridor style, traditional settings with rooms opening off a main hallway. Each floor has at least two first-year mentors (FYMs) who are trained to help first year students adjust to university life. This traditional style settting is ideal for freshmen because students engage with other residents frequently and get to know each other quickly. In corridor style halls, you'll find a lounge, computer lab, recreation center, and laundry facilities. These halls also have shared kitchen facilities for light cooking. First year buildings are dry areas where no alcohol is allowed.
