January 22, 2026 New Student Move In (Spring Semester Move Ins only).
January 25, 2026 Students from Fall 2025 return to campus.
March 20, 2026 @ 5:00 PM Halls Close for Spring Break Students needing to stay until Saturday may request a late stay Students wishing to stay on campus over break must fill out a Spring Break request on their My Housing portal.
March 29, 2026 @ 9:00 AM Halls open after Spring Break.
May 11, 2026 – May 14, 2026 Critique and Evaluation Period (CEP Week). 24 Hour Quiet Hours in Effect No Guests Permitted. If you need to stay past May 14, 2026 at noon, you may request a late stay. Late stays are only approved for travel or academic related reasons. You may request a late stay by emailing reslife@buffalostate.edu.
May 15, 2026 @ Noon Residence Halls Close and all residents must move out by the closing time of noon. All graduating seniors may request a late stay via emailing reslife@buffalostate.edu.

November 24, 2026 @ 5:00 PM Halls Close for Thanksgiving Break.
November 29, 2026 @ 9:00 AM Halls Open after Thanksgiving Break.
December 18, 2026 @ Noon Halls Close for Winter Break Students Not Returning for Spring Semester must move out by this time. Students needing to stay until Saturday may request a late stay. Students wishing to stay on campus over break must fill out a Winter Break request form on their My Housing portal. Additional fees may apply.
