Residential Service Assistant
Spend the academic year serving students on campus as a Residential Service Assistant (RSA). RSAs are an essential part of the Residence Life Office student staff at Buffalo State University. Working primarily out of the Residential Mailroom located in the Student Union, RSAs work to provide various services to the campus community.
We are seeking candidates who have a drive to provide the highest quality customer service to the campus residential community.
Position Description
The Residential Service Assistant position provides resident students on campus with excellent customer service with processing mail and packages and other services like providing lockout assistance and check in/out services. RSAs work to assist residential students on campus and provide critical services to the residential campus community. 4. This role requires all team members to be efficient. Can you describe a time when you improved your efficiency in a previous job or academic setting? What specific methods or technology did you use, and how did you ensure accuracy and attention to detail in your work?
5. Provide an example of a time when you had to communicate important information to your supervisors or team members. How did you ensure the message was clear and understood by everyone involved? What was the result?
Answers must be limited to 250 words or less, per question. Students are highly encouraged to use real life examples in the answers to these questions. While AI generated responses can provide guidance on how to approach each question, real-life examples will be prioritized in the application review.
You will also need the contact information of a Buffalo State University Professional Staff reference. This can be a professor, supervisor or someone else in a professional capacity that can speak to your abilities working with customers and guests.
