Tower 1
Tower 1 is one of four residential towers situated near the Science Building, Houston Sports Complex, and the Football Field. They are designed to be a more independent living arrangement while also providing considerable community engagement opportunities.
Student Population
Tower 1 is home to first-year students, transfer students and upper-division students.
Academic Residential Communities
Tower 1 is home to The Studio Academic Residential Community and the LGBT Gender Inclusive Academic Residential Community.

Room Types
Tower 1 provides a suite style living arrangements where within a suite is three bedrooms, a common room and a bathroom private to the students within the suite. Suites are set up to be three double occupancy bedrooms, or two double occupancy bedrooms and a single occupancy bedroom.

Each resident in the room will have their own:
- Twin XL bed and mattress
- Lamp
- Desk
- Desk Chair
- Dresser
- Wardrobe or built-in closet
The common area includes:
- One loveseat
- One coffee table
